Betty Stone is caring for her brother, Jud, who has terminal cancer and is in the
final week of his life. Betty, who suffers from dementia, is determined to make it a week to remember. They relive childhood memories and reminisce about growing up, singing songs and telling stories from the past. It’s a heart-warming and emotional story about the true love and connection between a brother and sister.
Betty loves her cat, Trixie, and is distraught when it goes missing. Believing one of the
local kids, Daz, has taken the cat, she lures him into the bungalow. She locks him in
the coal hut until he tells her where Trixie is. Betty forgets all about Daz, and only
remembers he’s still in the coal hut when the police turn up at her bungalow several
days later. As they open the coal hut door, they discover Daz, unconscious.
